 Formed in
1984, Stabilised Pavements of Australia Pty Limited (SPA) is an independent
Australian owned company and is the largest stabilisation contractor in
Australasia. As our name suggests, we specialise in the stabilisation of
pavements, usually through the incorporation of cement, lime or bitumen.
Stabilised Pavements is a founding member of the Australian Stabilisation
Industry Association (AustStab) and abides by its standards and its ethics.
Stabilised Pavements is not only Australia's largest stabilisation and
profiling contractor, it is the leading organisation. Amongst SPA's many
proud achievements are:
- Pioneering the Deep Lift
Stabilisation process, through research with the RTA and also by
importing and operating the first CMI RS500 Reclaimers on these projects.
- Being the first to introduce many significant new developments in
mixing machines, not only the CMI RS500's, but also the CMI RS650's and the
Wirtgen WR2500's.
- Reintroducing Foamed Bitumen
Stabilisation to the market with updated machinery and technical
knowledge ("Stabilfoam").
- Being intimately involved in the introduction of various blended
cements and designer blend additives such as lime with slag and/or flyash.
- Being at the forefront in development and construction of the most
accurate and dust free spreaders.
- Helping found and develop the Australian Stabilisation Industry
Association (AustStab)
- Leading the way in achieving and maintaining high technical standards
and disseminating knowledge to State, Local Government and Private
Contractor clients.
- Being at the forefront in the formulation of specifications (now with
AustStab).
- Developing a complementary road
profiling service (including mill and fill operations) with an
innovative fleet of profilers.
Stabilised Pavement's management consists of the most
experienced team in this specialised
field anywhere in Australasia. Our supervisory staff and operators have had
a vast experience in the stabilisation field, working for State Government
Road Authorities, Local Government Authorities and private contractors
throughout most States and Territories of Australia.
